Frequently Asked Questions

Should I have a boat license?

No license is required for our boats carrying up to 30hp engine.

In case you are interested in renting a boat with more than 30hp engine, then a valid boat license is required

Am I charged a security deposit?

Yes. We hold a 200€ security deposit on all of our non license require rental boats, and 400€ on our bigger boat. This deposit is completed the day you pick up the boat and then returned to you once the boat has been returned back to our rental company.
You can pay the deposit by cash or credit card, its up to you.

What are the rental options?

You could rent the boat either for a full day (09:00 to SunSet) or for a half day (09:00 to 14:00 – 15:00 to SunSet)

Can i handle the boat?

Before your departure you will attend a detailed safety briefing from our team.

They will teach you anything you need to know and you will be ready for your trip πŸ™‚

Are fuel expenses included in the price?

Fuel expenses are not included in the price and they depend on the miles covered.

Fuel are included only in the skippered cruises we offer.

Are there any limits on where i can go with the boat?

License-required boats have no limits!

Please note that the non license required boats have some limits on where you can go.

So, if you wish to go further away and visit other islands, you could only do this with one of the bigger boats or you could hire a professional skipper if you don’t hold a boat license with an extra cost of 100€ for a full-day rental

Are the boats equipped with with sun tent and lifejackets for children?

Starting from the sun protection, all our boats are protected with a bimini top.
So, there is no need to worry about the sun!
Furthemore, all out boats are equipped with life jackets and we also have special ones for our younger friends! πŸ™‚

Can we bring our kids?

All of our boats are child friendly and we will make sure to have the appropriate child life vests on board.

Is the drinking of alcohol allowed on the boat?

No. The same rules regarding drink and driving on the road apply to drivers on the water and is policed by the Coastguard. If we feel a person is already under the influence of alcohol at the time of arrival we will use our discretion and refuse service to that person.

Can I bring my dog on the boat?

Yes, dogs are allowed on the boats. Any dogs weighing over 40lbs would be counted as a passenger due to weight capacity’s on the boats. Dogs must stay off the leather seats at all times.

What should I bring?

Plan and do your grocery shopping before your boarding.
Make sure you have enough water on board.
The boat is equipped with life jackets .
Don’t forget your swimwear and beach towels.

What are your late fees?

For every 15 minutes late returning a boat the renter is charged 25€. If you would like to keep the boat for extra time please call us to be sure the boat is available.

I have never skippered a boat before, is it safe?

If you know how to drive a car, then handling a boat is piece of cake! The instructions are easy to follow and after receiving a comprehensive briefing, which will take in average 30 minutes, you will be ready to head out!

I don't know how to swim. Am i allowed to participate on a boat trip?

Yes you are! The only obligation is that you have to wear your life jacket at all times!

What should i do to ensure a totally safe ride?

You have to be watchfull on our safety briefing and follow our instructions. You also should handle the boat with care and never push it to its limits. If these requirements are met, you’re sure to enjoy a great boating experience.

Is there any danger of running out of fuel in the sea?

We always check together during check-in time that both of the fuel tanks are full. Our boats in average consume 25lt per full day, and the fuel tanks are 48lt onboard the boat. That simply means that there is definately no chance of running out of fuel.

Are the boats insured?

Our insurance covers you against all third party damages! However in case of damage in the rental boat you need to pay for it!
The most common damage is to lose an anchor or break the propeller, but if you follow our instruction no damage will happen!

Will i have to pay for any damage that may occur to the boat?

We always make sure that our boats are in perfect working condition!
Damages that my occur have to be assessed and you will be obliged to pay only in case you are responsible for the problem. However, this is unlikely event, and if you stick to our instructions you won’t face any such situation.

Is there any chance of getting lost?

No, you shouldn’t be afraid at all! Communication and assistance are constantly available! We have a highly reliable tracker system installed on each boat and, if necessary we can provide you with a mobile phone. At any given moment, we are able to know your exact location and assist you either by phone or, if necessary by immediately coming to help you.
Also our boats are equipped with GPS chartplotter so you can understand where you are!

Can i moor the boat in other ports?

Yes of course you can. We will give you all information needed and a map including all the ports where you can moor your boat. It is very important that you have very good experience with boats in order to keep your boat safe.
