Port Police rules for boat rentals
Breaking any of the following rules may result in a fine issued by the Port Police, who have the authority to stop and inspect your boat at any time. During an inspection, they will check the vessel’s documents and ensure all required safety equipment is on board. It is also mandatory to carry a valid ID with you at all times while on the boat.

Always drive slowly. Never go at full speed. Never do sharp, dangerous turns. Never anchor inside the yellow buoys indicating the swimmer’s area.

Never anchor where people are swimming. Keep the boat away from swimmers.

On busy beaches with watersports, you are only allowed to go out where the watersports have the yellow buoys.

With our smaller non license require boats, you are only authorized to stay inside Santorini

The use of alcohol is strictly forbidden to the captain of the vessel.

You must be 18 years or over to make a booking with us.

You agree that you will bring the boat in the same conditions it was delivered to you.

If you break the propeller, cause any damage, or lose the anchor, lifejacket, oar, or any other part of the boat, you will have to pay for it so we can replace it.

The boats are insured against third party damage, you (The Captain) are primarily responsible for any damage to our boat or loss of the boat and its equipment; in case of damage/loss, you will have to pay the amount of the damage in full; this amount will vary depending on the type of damage/or loss. You (The Captain) will be held responsible for the actions of the other members of your party as well.

Fuel costs are not included in boat rental rates.

It is mandatory to respect the maximum number of passengers permitted on board to comply with laws and regulations and not exceed that number.

Santorini SeaBreeze Boat Rental may at its absolute discretion refuse to hand over a boat or terminate the boat rental period in advance where, in the opinion of persons in charge, the driver is likely to cause damage, distress, or fails to comply with company rules. In such an event, will be under no obligation to refund any money.

If you are late 30 minutes after the agreed time without warning, we have the right to rent the boat to someone else, and you lose your deposit.

If you decide to cancel your boat for any reason other than weather conditions, you lose your deposit.

In any violation, the port authority has the right to keep your passport until you have paid the fine given to you.
In very rare cases we have to cancel a tour. Due to strong winds or heavy rain. We will always offer you to go on that tour on a different date. If that is not possible, we will refund the booking fee in full.
A booking made online is subject to Our Terms & Conditions. Up until 11 days prior to the tour date bookings will be fully refunded, with the exception of processing fees. All cancellations within 10 days prior to departure are non refundable.
No license is required for our boats carrying up to 30hp engine. In case you are interested in renting a boat with more than 30hp engine, then a valid boat license is required.
Before your departure you will attend a detailed safety briefing from our crew. We will teach you anything you need to know and you will be ready for your trip.
Fuel expenses are not included in the price (check boat tour for average fuel cost).
All of our boats are allowed to stay only in Santorini island and not visit other islands.

Starting from the sun protection, all our boats are protected with a bimini top. So, there is no need to worry about the sun! Furthemore, all out boats are equipped with life jackets and we also have special ones for our younger friends!
It would be recommended to book a boat at least 1 month ahead, especially during the high-season, when the availability is very limited.
All the NON Licensed boats have a full 48 lt tanks. The petrol is plenty for the day as the engines are new 4 strokes and they are very economical. Normal usage is 25lt, so you have double than you require for the day. Comparing to the older two-stroke engine with mixed oil gasoline these engine run quietly and very efficiently!
First, it’s a good idea to go over the most typical damages that occurs during the summer. Breaking the propeller is the most common and serious damage that can occur. We had no other major damage, which is why we’ll go over how to avoid it in great detail with you. So far we had no serious damages, If you are careful, and you avoid to drive in shallow waters, we are confident you will have no problems at all.
